Students will engage with the text, The Glass Castle,  by keeping a journal where they right down quotes that stand out to them and then respond to those quotes. This assignment will be collected twice throughout this unit for 2 separate grades. The purpose is to improve reading comprehension, prepare students for class discussions, and assist students with preparing for our Socratic Seminar at the end of this unit.
