I will not be in our lesson on Wednesday. Your homework is to prepare for the timed work that you will do in my absence:
  1. You will complete a 10-mark question on an extract from Book 16. In preparation, re-read Book 16, think about the significance of the Book and the most important episodes.
  2. You will complete a 20-mark question on the character of Patroclus. In preparation, review the appearances of Patroclus in the Books of the 'Iliad' that we have read (Books 1, 9, 16) and consider how Homer portrays him. You may like to create a bank of quotations and learn a few important ones.
