Women in Shakespeare: revision
2024-25
Date Due
Nov. 6, 2024
Additional Info
To help prepare you for your paragraph writing on Thursday, here are two revision tasks.
1. Go back over the quotations in the revision pack (considering Viola, Hermia, Titania, Juliet) and make sure you have at least one annotation for each quotation including a technique (e.g. tricolon) or zooming in on a word and considering its connotations.
2. Look at the next page in the pack with the table. List 2-3 examples for each side of the argument about whether not not Shakespeare presents women as powerful figures. Try to support your ideas with specific examples/moments from the plays.
REMEMBER, whilst we have given you a range of quotations that you can draw on for your paragraph, you can choose from beyond these; for example, you might want to consider the homework worksheet you completed on Beatrice or think about your knowledge of MAAN more widely.
