Please use your homework time this weekend to go back through your notes on the play and mind map (or however works for you) your ideas on the presentation of Lady Macbeth and her power and devilishness - depending on your chosen question - through the play. Aim to come up with five or so ideas and choose a few key moments that illustrate each of those ideas, e.g.
  • her power is reflected in her rejection of femininity:
    • 1) in her soliloquy after receiving Macbeth's letter, she prays to the supernatural to make her less womanly, 'unsex me here...'
    • 2) ...
    • 3) ...
There is a planning sheet attached should you want it. I would suggest that you use Monday's single lesson to narrow these ideas down, consider your points of analysis and contextual details, and then use your two doubles and two preps next week to write your first draft, due Monday 24th March.
