RP4: initial write-up tasks

2024-25

L6A Biology B

Date Due

Nov. 15, 2024, 1:20 p.m.

Additional Info
Before Friday's lesson, please complete the following tasks to get started on your RP4 write-up.

1. Draw a table of results for your own data (including uncertainty in the measurements). Remember the rules for tables! Look in 'RP3 osmosis' if you need a reminder.

2. Begin your research into what might be causing the results. Remember to write down if you use any sources and cite these as necessary.

If you have time/want to get ahead:
3. The unprocessed class data will be put on OneNote. A print-out of this data will be given to you in our lesson on Friday. You can start to calculate means and standard deviations, and then work out which results should be classed as anomalies and therefore excluded from the final results. (Any data points outside the range of 2 SDs below the mean and 2 SDs above the mean should be considered anomalies.)

You will need to write any values you calculate into the paper version of the tables given to you on Friday. So if you don't get a chance to start the calculations, you can start when given the print-out.
