Asking questions BEFORE, DURING, and AFTER reading extends our critical thinking and helps us better understand the text.

From "The Lady or the Tiger" write down a question you have BEFORE reading. 

DURING the story, students should write down any questions that come up. They are encouraged to simply write whatever comes to mind without worrying about whether it will be answered or not.

AFTER reading, write down any questions you still have.
