You have an essay that you will start working on now.
On the planning sheet, collect all the ideas you have about isolation.
In the top box write down 4 ideas about isolation and opposite write the 4 quotations you will use to convince me this BIG IDEA exists.
You need to choose quotations that are from all across the poem.Always try to use the opening line and the end one.

Quotations that give you a lot to say are best. You need to be able to annotate around the quotations and say 3 different ideas about each one.
Do this for Hide and Seek.
Then underneath, you choose a second poem and do the same - what big ideas about isolation are there and what quotations will you want to use.
When you come in on Monday, bring the sheet. We will talk about how to plan the essay and how the poems are similar and different.
I will then set the two HW slots next week to finish the essay.
It will be due on the Monday so you have the whole week and one weekend to work on it.
If you want to get ahead then you could write your introduction.
