You will have received your Latin exam score this morning. Well done to everyone for completing your Latin exam!! You did yourselves proud :) We will not be going through the paper today - we will do this together tomorrow.

For today's lesson, please enjoy some Culture and Context activities. You will be getting to know the famous Roman orator Cicero, who is one of my favourite ancient characters, and his name means 'chickpea'!! Please complete the following:

1. Distribute the orange de Romanis textbooks, and read the information under the headers 'Oratory' and 'Cicero' on pages 40-41.

2. Navigate to Chapter 8 - Culture and Context - Source 8.2: How to be a good speaker. Read the passage, and answer the questions in the gaps provided.

3. If you finish this, move on to the extension task on the same sheet, where you will need to watch short videos (please use headphones) and make a judgement on which speakers the Romans would have valued and why.
