In today's lesson, please make a start on the Odyssey project that I talked about last lesson.

The project will work like this. You will be split into groups of 4 or 5 which you will work in for the next few lessons. The goal of the project will be for you to give a presentation of your work as a group, which will we hope to do in a larger venue with another Y9 class. The cover teacher will put you into the groups.

During todays lesson, there are two tasks for you to be looking at in the 'Odyssey Project/01. Trojan Horse' section of OneNote. One task is a translation task, another is an art and mythology task related to vases. Within your group, discuss which of you would like to do what. It is up to you what you would like to do, although each group should try to complete both tasks collectively.

The goal of this will be to work towards the presentation that I have mentioned above. In that presentation, you should aim to include some quotations from the Latin, some drawings of vases, or anything that you think would be interesting to present about to another group. There is an example template for a presentation in the '00. Presentation Template' section. You can use this for inspiration, or you can present in a different order/way. Similarly, you may want to give your presentation about just 1 episode from the Odyssey, or your may want to summarise all of the stories that will cover in upcoming lessons.
