This Week's Homework.....​

  1. Printing: You need to select the following images from your trip to the South Bank last term and print out to the correct size as you will need these for your lessons (school cameras are archived in the Pupil Portal):​

  • 1 x A3 detailed image for your pencil study​

  • 1 x A5 detailed image for etching​

  • 10 x A4 simpler images for mono printing​

  • 1 X A4 detailed image for colour pencil study​

  • 1 x A4 simpler image for bleach drawing

  •  Email your teacher 1 x A4 detailed image for cyanotype.​

  • Use the carbon paper to help trace your A3 image to undertake a sustained pencil drawing on the A3 cartridge paper.​

Drawing will be at the heart of the course, it comes in many guises and can be quick, gestural, abstract, photographic, emotional, technical and can use multiple media from the pencil to a stub of bark! Please use the following link https://www.studentartguide.com/articles/line-drawings-2 to look at different ways to draw, Van Gogh was a master at drawing as was Picasso. There are some very contemporary artists, look back at the Tate Modern trip, whose drawing did you like the most? Print out their image for reference for your own drawing and keep it safe to present later in your sketchbook.​
