His motto was, "Greed is the root of all evil", and he tells a tale to illustrate that. .Pretend that you are one of the characters on the pilgrimage. Write your own exemplum against one of the seven deadly sins. Your story must have a moral, and must be well developed as the Pardoner's Tale is.
