Creative Writing Assignment

Write a brief story in which you develop your own contextual symbol. You might, for example, demonstrate how holding a job brings out character strengths that are not at first apparent or how neglecting to care for the inside or outside of a house indicates a character’s decline. The principle is to take something that can at first seem normal and ordinary, then to make that thing symbolic as you develop your story.
