The sophomores, as their final semester project, will be hosting and presenting a mock United Nations forum.
Project
Preparations for this event will commence at the beginning of this semester. Students will be required to complete in-depth research, by installments, on their assigned countries. For specificity, the research is geared at pinpointing the various problems facing our global community.
Students are encouraged to investigate topics in the areas of:
  • « Religion
  • « Socio-economics
  • « Health
  • « Irrigation (water, farming, canals)
  • « Ethnic tension
  • « Gender inequality (barriers/conflicts)
  • « Child soldiers
  • « Food
  • « Pollution
  • « War
  • « Education
  • « Transportation
  • « Civic lawsÉ to name a few

The task is to identify at least two problems per country, introduce a proposal to remedy or lessen the stated problems, then, show projected short term and long term benefits if the plans are implemented as proposed.

All installments must be upload in a report format. You may used bullets and other formatting techniques. The questions must be answered succinctly and to the point.

All installment reports must have a cover page with the following:
  1. Name of group members
  2. Name of event
  3. Date
  4. An indication, using an asterisk, of individual(s) who failed to contribute.
  5. Teacher's name
  6. Class/subject name
