Additional Info

Hello - sorry I am missing our lesson today.

Please can you use the time today to complete the following work - it will be really beneficial for you to stay together in H2 to do this and help each other - collaboration is encouraged!

Tasks:

  1. Finish reading the printed excerpt from Descartes' Meditations that we started on Monday. Highlight and annotate where you would like to. Note down any questions you have.
  1. Read pages 91-92 of the Blue OCR textbook to have an overview of Descartes' ontological argument.
  1. Read and make any annotations you'd like on the main slides in 01. The Ontological Argument class pack against the slides on Descartes.
  1. Continue reading the first two criticisms - Hume and Gasking. Hume is a recap of the criticism he had of Aquinas' 3rd proof. Gasking is new - talk this through together to understand the criticism, and then decide if his criticism is successful.
  1. Go to page 04. Kant's Criticisms of Onto argument and read the information. It might help here if half of you read the first criticism he proposes, and half the second, and then explain these to each other. You can also use the textbook to help you - pages 92-94.
  1. Make notes on Kant's criticisms in the class pack in the appropriate boxes to show your understanding.

Please make sure you have uploaded your homework into the homework folder for me to look over. Many thanks and have a lovely weekend when it arrives :)
