Additional Info
Sorry I'm not able to be with you today. Please can you complete the following work:
  1. On OneNote go to 2.4. You will be practising all 3 time frames today- present, passe compose and future both in speaking and writing. Look at the questions in the starter activity- which 2 use the future- both near and simple futures?, which one uses present (modal verb) and which one uses the perfect/passe compose? Try answering the questions now. 5 minutes
  2. Starter 2! Translate the sentences. (2 are in the future, 1 in the present and one in the past) What word/phrase indicates which tense should be used? Highlight it in each sentence. 5 minutes
  3. Read the useful information box. 3 minutes
  4. Look at the role play- read the coloured boxes to help you make sense and then write a sentence in response to each bullet point, and a question where there is a question mark ?. For the exclamation mark ! Imagine your question is Qu'est-ce que tu veux etre? (sorry no accents on my laptop). 10 minutes
  5. Write some answers to the 4 questions, ensuring you follow the hints below each one to give enough information. What do you want to do as a profession? Where will you live in the future? What will you buy with your money. The verb to save up is economiser (with an accent aigu on the first e) and finally Have you helped at home recently- which tense do you need here?! 15 minutes
  6. Translate the 6 sentences into French- use the hints in colour to help you be accurate. 10 minutes
  7. With your partner look at the writing task and follow the 3 areas to consider. dans 10 ans = in 10 years time 6 minutes
  8. Read through the excellent example answer, then with a partner go through each of the 5 steps. 10 minutes
  9. When you are ready, write your own response, using the sample response and your own work from this term. Finish this for homework. This will be a piece of work you will want to refer to often this year, so do your very best. remainder of lesson and 20 minutes homework
