I am not around in the lesson today. In my absence, I would like you to work on the poem ÔClimbing my GrandfatherÕ. Please upload a copy of your annotated poem at the end of the lesson. We will then continue with Eden Rock on Thursday.

This what I would like you to do.

1. Listen to Mr BruffÕs video of it and annotate the poem as you go. Use one colour for structure and another colour for analysing language. Here is the link: . You will probably need to pause and stop as you go. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GGOwdAxinJY

3. Read this summary sheet of the poem carefully. Again, add anything you donÕt already have to your annotations. I have uploaded this sheet to Showbie under the assignment ÔClimbing my GrandfatherÕ

Complete the two tables on Showbie (the same two ones you have been completing for homework). The first table which summarises each poem as well as the theme tracker document which sets out how the poem deals with the themes stated. The poem does not deal with all the themes. You just need to add a sentence which sets out how it deals with the relevant themes.

Please upload a copy of your annotated poem at the end of the lesson.

You may not get through all of this (I think number 4 is unlikely!). At the end of the lesson, can you please just type into the chat, the number that you got to?
