Good afternoon

In exciting news, the English department will be holding a creative writing competition. This is optional, but there are some exciting prizes up for grabs.

Your task:
Create an extra scene for Girl of Ink and Stars. This could be:
  • something that happens in the book that the reader does not see directly
  • a new scene that you would have liked to see in the novel
  • a prequel, showing something that happened before the beginning of the novel
  • a sequel, showing something that might happen after the end of the novel

Requirements:
  • Maximum of 500 words (it can be shorter!)
  • First person narration
  • Must use clear paragraphs
  • Descriptive imagery and figurative language
  • Must be typed, with your name and form at the top of the page
  • Email your entry to Ms Kenny (Cara.Kenny@guildfordhigh.co.uk)
  • Deadline for entries is Thursday 21st March
