Complete the analytical paragraph on conflict in 'War Photographer'. Please see an example below:
James Nachtwey, a modern war photographer, believes that photographs are part of the 'antidote' to war and gives voices to the voiceless; they ensure that the stories of those suffering are heard. Whilst Duffy's poem shows this as the photographer's viewpoint, his editor doesn't quite view them in the same light as for him, they're merely a means of making money. As the photographer shows his editor the 'hundred agonies' he has captured, he is appalled when he sees that he will 'pick out five or six/for Sunday's supplement'. The fact that these photographs will be added to the 'supplement' reveals how the editor views these images as somewhat unimportant; he attaches no real meaning to them and is including them only to enhance his main selling point, his newspaper. The editor clearly views the images not as 'solutions' (unlike the photographer) but as a unique selling point, able to appeal to readers wishing to cathartically release themselves. Duffy's use of sibilance here ('Sunday's supplement') is quite deliberate as the hissing sound created mirrors the photographer's disapproval and dismay at his editor's decision to print only a handful of images.
