The general guidelines we discussed were that things are significant if...
- they change something
- their impact is long lasting
- they had a domino effect or chain reaction ... in other words, it is connected to other events
- they stand out or are memorable, often because there are strong feelings attached to them

Then we had a chance to use the Chromebooks to explore significant events that have happened in our world since 2011.

If you weren't here today, spend 15 minutes online looking up significant events that have happened around the world since you were born in 2011. Write down as many events as you can find in that 15 minutes and show Mrs. Remington your list when you are back at school!
