Dear 7X,

Sorry I cannot be with you today. For your cover work, please do the following:

1. Have a look at through your exam paper. We will go through it in detail next week! You will be given about 5 minutes to do this and you MUST return your paper- no photographs.
2. Complete the sheet 2.4 Acids and alkalis MCQs, found on OneNote under 04 Acids, alkalis and indicators - 2 The pH scale.
3. Complete the sheet 2.5 Acids and alkalis cover work 7th June, found in the same place.
4. When finished, mark your work. Scroll down on each page- both sheets have the mark scheme also included.
5. Working in pairs, make a poster of the pH scale. This can be as large as you like! Completed posters will go up on the walls in the lab to be a useful resource for all pupils to refer to. On your poster, you should include:
   1. The full range of colours covered by universal indicator (the title slide on 2 Indicators and the pH scale is a good scale to use).
   2. Examples of substances that have each pH, if possible. You will need to use your iPad to carry out some research to find appropriate examples.
