Answer all questions, either directly on OneNote to the right of the questions or on paper (upload a scan to the same page). You must show all the stages of your working out, otherwise you can't get full marks.

Q5 b) iii) and Q6 b) i) are assessing the same skill - the ability to judge how useful/effective a data presentation technique is (in this case, GIS satellite imagery and pie charts). In order to gain ideas to answer these questions, you could look in OneNote (05 Geographical Skills > Presentation Techniques), or in your big yellow textbook p.507-517. To answer these questions effectively, you can write three numbered points. Each point will probably be a sentence with two clauses in it - first, you identify a feature of the presentational technique, and then you explain exactly why it is a useful/valuable feature - how it increases the likelihood of you understanding the data. Notice for the pie chart question, you are being asked to comment on the 'usefulness' of the data, which could be a positive comment, or could be a negative comment - i.e. explain why it's not much use.

For the standard deviation question, I have pasted onto your question sheets the formula that went with this question. And screenshotted and attached (and also in the OneNote folder) is a brief explanation of the two SD formulae.
