'Cooling climates rather than warming climates have a more significant influence on coastal landscapes.' How far do you agree with this view?

Answer in your normal format of doing exams (hand written on A4 or types). No time limit, but aim for approx 700 words, which would be similar to output in an exam. Remember the structure we discussed in the lesson (you can see my notes in the Content Library).  You need to present the 'argument' - the evidence that cooling climates have an influence on coastal landscapes, then present the 'counter-argument', that shows the importance of warming climates.  Don't forget to discuss formation and modification.

Think about your AO2 - how are you going to evaluate whether cooling or warming is more influential?  e.g.

  • Does the answer to the Q vary between coastlines?
  • Does the answer depend on whether you are looking at local v global scale?
  • Does the answer to the Q depend on the temporal scale - at what points in the past/present/future was the statement true?  And false?
  • Do cooling and warming climates every interact to create landforms?
You can integrate this AO2 into your argument/counterargument structure, or you could do a standalone AO2 paragraph or two after the argument and counterargument.

Don't forget a conclusion that directly ATQ.
