1. Plot the location of the 10 largest cities in the world in 1950 and 2020, using the tables and the latitude-longitude coordinates on the left hand side of the worksheet.  You do not need to label each dot with the city name, but please use a different colour dot to distinguish between 1950 cities and 2020 cities.  Two cities (Tokyo and New York) feature on both lists, so will need a two-colour dot.

2. Answer the questions underneath the map (starting with 'What is a megacity?').

Expectations: within your 20 minutes, I would expect most people to be able to complete Task 1 (although do get a parent to sign off if you have genuinely spent 20 minutes of hard work on it and not finished).  If any remaining time, please move on to Task 2.  Some of you may complete it, but this is not essential - Task 2 is the extension and just get as far as you can.
