Additional Info
Dear girls,

Just to follow on from today's lesson, the most useful thing you can do for Paper 3 is to practise synoptics and essays.  Set yourself lots of synoptic questions based on the synoptic planning grid and write out full answers.  Remember that a Hazards/Coasts and a Hazards/HR synoptic question hasn't come up yet - no guarantees, of course, but probably worth making sure you are comfortable with those topics.  And remember that the question could refer to volcanic hazards, seismic hazards or tectonic hazards, so make sure you have answers that cover all bases.

For essays, practise all the different essay types (management/impacts/factors), getting familiar with the three distinct theme structures and the case study bits that can be dropped in to lots of different essays - you should be able to boil down Merapi/Gorkha/Ontake/Tohoku to maybe 20 key stats per case study that will allow you to illustrate all the AO2 points you want to make across different essays.  The 5 minute essay planning grids will be useful here to help you pick questions to practise and allow you to gain familiarity with the theme structure.  You've got the model answer plans to help as well.

Finally, I have uploaded to Showbie and OneNote a big batch of possible 6-markers for you to have a look through and plan responses for.
