Sorry not to be with you today girls.  Please complete the following in the lesson:

Use the information on page '5. Managing Earthquake Hazards v2' to fill in the worksheet on page 'Managing earthquake hazards worksheet'.  There isn't much writing to do here, but please make sure you read all the information about different ways of managing earthquake hazards carefully, annotating and highlighting the worksheet as you go.  You do not need to do the final page of the worksheet (Nepal/New Zealand comparison), and you do not need to look through the PowerPoint beyond the slide with the pink 'Appraisal' strategies - we will cover the New Zealand information tomorrow'.

Paper copies of materials will be provided by the cover teacher (I will leave on desk at front).  Cut out the paper statements about why people might live in hazard risk zones, then follow the instructions in the purple box on the 'Worksheet' page.  Once you have finished (including colour-coding), take a photograph of your Venn Diagram and upload to the 'Worksheet' page.

Read and highlight/annotate the information on the 'Why are some countries more vulnerable' page.

Review content for a 10 minute multiple choice checkpoint assessment next week, covering everything in Hazards up tot he end of volcanoes (i.e. nothing on Earthquakes).
