Dear girls,

Sorry I can't be with you again today.  Please complete the following:

1. Finish off the Sandbanks case study from yesterday's lesson if needed (just the map page, not the table).

2. Showbie>Coastal Landscapes>6. Human activity in coastal systems>Case study of unintentional change

Read pages 36-37 of the big yellow textbook (sand mining at Mangawhai Pakiri) and build up case study notes on the base map (Slide 1).  Colour code responses by 'background', 'need for sand', 'statistics about mining and effect on sediment budget' and 'impact on coastal landscape' (see key across top of page).  Don't worry about Slide 2 (the table) - we'll look at that next week.

3. If you finish early, you can start on homework (set as separate task), which is to revise for end of unit test in two weeks' time.
