Cover lesson Monday 8th November

Sorry that I can't be with you in the lesson today.  We are back on the normal syllabus work after our month of field work.  Please could you complete the following work in my absence.

Showbie: Urban Environments (pink folder) > '2. Patterns of urban land use' > '3. The urban fringe presentation' and '3. The urban fringe worksheet'.

Please use the presentation to complete the worksheet...

  • Worksheet p.1 - complete the glossary using Presentation Slide 2
  • Worksheet p.2 - complete the spider diagram using Presentation Slide 5
  • Worksheet p.3,4 and 5 - read and highlight
  • Worksheet p.6 - complete using Presentation Slide 11
  • Worksheet p.7 - sort and copy the statements from Presentation Slide 12 (currently jumbled up and in the wrong places) to show the advantages of building on brownfield and greenfield sites.
We will talk through what you have done in Tuesday's lesson.  No need to watch the embedded videos - we will look at those on Tuesday too.  If you finish early, you may wish to review your notes on urban land use zones and ethnic distribution in Newcastle, as you will be having a multiple choice checkpoint assessment on this next week.

Don't forget to upload you homework (the fieldwork past paper question) to Showbie - the pink 'Urban Environments fieldwork' folder and the 'Exam question' assignment.
