Hi all,

I'm so sorry not to be in your lesson today. Please check the homework first, Formulae of Ionic compounds homework, 1HP means you got a house point, well done if you did! We are going to practise more working out formulae today, I have given you lots of sheet to work through.

1. Forming ions - use the periodic table to help you
2. Complex ions and Roman numerals - these all contain the compound ions you need to learn
3. Cover work formulae of ionic compounds - lots of practice here! The answers are on the last page, they are there for you to check once you have attempted it.
4. What do you need more practice with - formulae

There are lots and lots of sheets here. If you finish them all please make a revision resource to learn the formulae of the compounds ions and the transition metals which we can't work out from the Periodic Table. They are on two slides in the PowerPoint we looked at last week. Maybe make a Quizlet to test yourself on them. If you don't finish all the sheets this is fine, some are quicker at working out formulae than others. Please learn the formulae of the compound ions and transition elements for homework.
