Work with a partner and read “Sonnet 147”. Complete the following:
1. Identify the figurative language
2. Summarize the poem in your own words
3. Identify the theme
Note: Try your best to decode the poem on your own as a group. Do not look up the information. Only use the internet to google the poem. Search for it by its title, “Sonnet 147”
With your partner, write you own Shakespearean Sonnet. It must be 14 lines and follow the ABAB CDCD EFEF GG rhyme scheme. It DOES NOT have to be written in iambic pentameter.
