India- due Thursday, December 5th.

  1. Write a 5 paragraph essay comparing and contrasting Hinduism, Buddhism, and Jainism.
  2. Draw a map of the physical geography of the Indian Subcontinent.
  3. Create a rap/poem about the Aryan caste system.
  4. Write a first person journal account of a day in the life of Asoka, ruler of the Mauryan Empire. Be sure to include facts from Asoka reigned and details of what he implemented in his empire.
  5. Draw/paint a picture that depicts the family life in ancient India.

China due Tuesday, December 5th.

  1. Write a five paragraph essay comparing and contrasting Confucianism and Daoism.
  2. Create a rap/poem about the Chinese dynasties (Shang, Zhou, Han, and Qin). One stanza per dynasty; 6 lines per stanza (minimum).
  3. Write a first person journal account of a day in the life of Qin Shi Huangdi, emperor of the Qin dynasty. Be sure to include facts from Asoka reigned and details of what he implemented in his empire.
  4. Make a replica of a terracotta warrior.
