1. Read the poetry power point attached to this assignment and complete the assignment at the end of the power point. To be clear, you will read about haiku and limericks. You will write three haiku and two limericks. This is not a group assignment. You are all creative and I know you are capable of writing these poems. 

2. After completing the poems, complete the parts of speech worksheets attached to this assignment. Write your answers on a separate sheet of paper. This also is individual work. 

Place all completed class work in the designated bin.
