... when it's something that will help with the start of next lesson! However, given that our next lesson is tomorrow, I'm not overly precious about whether you get to look at it (or not). Basically, if you have a free bit of time you could look at the three slides in the Potential Dividers pack that followed on from the quirky variable resistor in parallel with a bulb question. It starts 'Sketch a graph of the power dissipation of L2 against the resistance of R ...'. Assume that the bulbs are ohmic (otherwise it gets to be an utter nightmare!).

It's basically a bit of thinking about what some graphs will look like and trying to explain their shape.

Alternatively, you could look at the model answers in the AS EDEXCEL Potential dividers and Sensors Presentation 2024 in 07 Electricity Presentations.
