Please complete the following for homework:

  • Finish reading Book 2, annotating it and using the reading comprehension sheet to guide you. 
  • After this, plan an essay on 'Is Aeneas a Homeric or Roman hero?'. Consider Virgil's authorial intention here. 
  • Then, plan an essay on 'How important a role do the gods and the supernatural play in Books 1-2 of the Aeneid?'. We will discuss these at the beginning of next lesson.
  • It may also be useful to add to your key quotes whilst you do this to help you out.
