Hi girls,
Unfortunately, I am not with you for your second lesson as I am on Bushcraft!
As I mentioned in last week's lesson, please spend the first 25 minutes of the lesson completing the Loch Ness monster Truth Table on Showbie. Key things to note:
- Refresh your memory of the terms, using last week’s PowerPoint.
- You may bullet point, but you need to fully develop and explain your points.
- Try to think of as many points as you can, although the number will vary from section to section. For example, the Direct Evidence section may have less available points than the Rationalism section.
- Remember that this is not a test of your knowledge of the Loch Ness monster; it is a test of your knowledge of the terms.
- Write a paragraph at the end, concluding whether or not there is a Loch Ness monster. You might want to argue for/against based on the most compelling point in one section of your table. Your conclusion should be justified and developed.
Once you have completed this, go onto the 03 Aquinas PowerPoint on Showbie. Flick to page 4: ‘Aquinas’ Five Proofs for God’s existence’. As we will talk about next lesson, Aquinas was a philosopher who put forward five arguments attempting to prove the existence of God. To do:
- Read proofs 1 and 2.
- Consider whether you think these are good/bad arguments for knowledge of God’s existence. Why?
- Write down your thoughts to discuss next lesson.
Best of luck,
Miss Hiley
