Additional Info
Hi girls,
As I mentioned in last week's lesson, please spend your homework completing the Loch Ness monster Truth Table on Showbie. Key things to note:
- Refresh your memory of the terms, using the ‘What is truth?’ PowerPoint.
- You may bullet point, but you need to fully develop and explain your points.
- Try to think of as many points as you can, although the number will vary from section to section. For example, the Direct Evidence section may have less available points than the Rationalism section.
- Remember that this is not a test of your knowledge of the Loch Ness monster; it is a test of your knowledge of the terms.
- Write a paragraph at the end, concluding whether or not there is a Loch Ness monster. You might want to argue for/against based on the most compelling point in one section of your table. Your conclusion should be justified and developed.
NB: Be very careful not to confuse the empiricism column with the direct evidence column. Look back at the terms on the PowerPoint to make sure you know the difference. Empiricism= using senses to determine truth. This is more general. Direct evidence= seeing something for yourself.
Best of luck,
Miss Hiley
