Sorry that I cannot be with you today. Below is the work that I would like you to complete in this cover lesson:

Please go to page 18 of the 12a Resurrection PowerPoint.

1. Brainstorm for the question: 'What evidence is there for the Resurrection of Jesus?'. Try to do this independently, in order to think creatively. If you do need help, turn to the next slide.
2. Go onto page 20 to write this in a paragraph. Crucially, you need to expand these points. For example, 'the empty tomb' does not fully answer this question. Explain the Biblical description of this and whether this is persuasive or not, developing your points fully and linking back to the question. Write a few points. Ask yourself, 'have I justified my position?'.
3. Go onto page 21 and brainstorm for the question: 'Why do you think the Resurrection is important for Christians today?'. You can chat this through with your partner.
4. Go onto page 22 and read through these points. Consider why it is that Christians believe this. See if you can expand these points by adding 'This is because' onto each point.
5. If you finish that, consolidate your resurrection group project by writing a paragraph about which group you voted for and why. Again, fully justify your opinion, providing a specific, detailed explanation. Why did you choose this over the others? Was it a close decision?
